Everyone wakes up in the morning, in a less than optimal condition. The way we wake in the morning determines the rest of our day, and it should be our utmost priority to ensure our morning goes well, so the rest of the day may follow suit.
1- Drink Some Herbal Tea in the Morning
It’s not just something your mom reads off Facebook and decrees everyone must start practicing instantly, but the health benefits of herbal tea are well documented and researched. Not only does it detoxify your body, but it also helps you feel fresh and energetic due to it stimulating your body. It also boosts your metabolism, helping you stay fit and healthy. Squeeze some honey or lemon into your herbal tea for maximum effect.
2- Refine Your Sleeping Schedule
The morning is as peaceful and beautiful as the darker hours of the night, but with more nature and life bustling around you. Wake up a few hours early to enjoy the early morning and bask in the magnificence of the sunrise and bird songs. If possible, meditate for some time as well (for as long as you feel comfortable) to clear your mind for the day. Your body and your mind will thank you for it.
3- Make a To-Do List
A very effective way to feel on top of your schedule for the day is to make a to-do list, defining the goals you would like to achieve in the day. This may seem very basic, but it helps you visualize your day in an effective manner as well as helping you to feel better about your accomplishments at the end of the day. If you have no particular thing planned for the day, enlist your chores and such to make your day as productive as possible.
Exercise in the morning to get your body and your mind ready and refined for the day. With a gradually setting pattern, you will be accustomed to the exercise in no time. You will see a definite change in your body, your energy and your general outlook on life. Just a few miles of running or a few sets of pushups can turn your life around!
5- Listen to Some Music
In the morning, listen to some of your favorite songs to help cheer you up. These songs can be whatever you find most vitalizing. But it’s essential that you listen to the songs that bring your spirits up. This makes you jubilant and creative for the day, and helps you get through the day with a rejuvenized rigor and passion.
All these tiny rituals or practices seem trivial at a glance, but they go a long way in helping you become the best version of yourself. Other than that, take a few minutes out of every morning to think about all the things you are happy about and discard the things that bring you down. Make your life positive and take on each day with a smile!
